You left a message to say the Automatic Porch Light was a “nice circuit.” Do you realise the circuit is badly designed and very dangerous.
You don’t know what you are talking about.

Here is the link to my site where I explain why Professor D.Mohankumar should take this circuits off the web. He will eventuall kill someone.

I suggest you tell Professor D.Mohankumar about these mistakes. He will not answer my emails. He is hiding behind behind a screen.

    Hello Abishai

I saw your tutorial on modem – arduino interface . great job , keep up the good work we are learning from your skills.
just a quick question if you don’t mind , what type of sim card did you use for the gsm module ? Is just a normal sim card you usually have in your phone ? or is it a specific type of sim card for modems that you ask your network to suplly you with ?

thank you for you help abishai
    best regards

Elie, I used a normal sim card which we use in our mobile phones. The GSM modems are made compatible with the normal sim card so that any one can use it.

Hey Abishai, this is Abhishek from Mangalore,India.

Can the method you used to connect Rx,Tx directly from the gsm modem be extended to connect to a 8051 board instead of arduino as well? I mean, what if i use 8051 board instead of arduino..to connect with the gsm modem?

The method I used can be used for any micro-controller working on 5v. Feel free to use it.
